The Paperless Environments Story
In 2001, Seth Dawson, the CFO of a large industrial contractor,
went in search of solutions to the growing cost and complexity of
managing their paperwork. As revenues climbed, so did the cost and
burden of filing, routing, reviewing and storing the associated
documents. Seth evaluated imaging software offered by his
accounting vendor and other providers, but what he found were
limited or very expensive solutions that only solved part of the
problem. Seeking a more complete and affordable solution, Seth
teamed-up with Paul Rice to develop a new generation of imaging and
workflow technology - a "paperless" system.
In 2004, based on their success with the software, Seth and Paul
concluded that other firms could benefit from their technology, so
they launched their product as the flagship of a new company. Since
then, Paperless Environments has installed systems in over 150
leading companies throughout the U.S.,many of which are within the
elite ranks of the ENR Top 400 (General Contractors) and Top 600
(Specialty Subcontractor) listings.
In 2008, the CFMA Technology Survey placed Paperless
Environments in the top tier of imaging and workflow automation
solutions. The engine of this success is a "best of class" software
solution for document imaging, content management and workflow
automation, combined with expert engineering, comprehensive
